US wrestling promotion WWE has announced plans for its first-ever major event in Germany, with Mercedes-Benz Arena set to host ‘Bash in Berlin’ next summer.
The arena, which has a capacity of 17,000, will host the event on August 31, 2024. It will mark WWE’s first major Premium Live Event (PLE) in Germany.
Fans can now register for an exclusive opportunity to receive presale tickets. Priority Pass ticket packages will also soon be available from event management company On Location, the official fan hospitality partner provider of WWE.
WWE will stage Bash in Berlin in partnership with Live Nation. The announcement follows the success of other WWE PLEs over the past 12 months in Montreal, Puerto Rico, Jeddah and London.
More details on the Berlin event are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Last month, WWE announced plans to return to Australia for the first time since 2018, with Perth’s Optus Stadium to host the Elimination Chamber event on February 24. The PLE will be delivered by WWE in partnership with the Western Australian Government through Tourism Western Australia.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is now WWE’s sister promotion following the closure of a merger deal, also chose Perth as its destination for its first major event in Australia since the outbreak of COVID-19.
