Rangers introduce tool to support visually-impaired fans

Scottish Premiership football club Rangers has introduced the Ramble Tag tool to aid supporters who may have difficulty navigating around Ibrox Stadium on match days and during stadium tours.

Ramble Tag devices will help stewards assist supporters in a way that is non-intrusive to the person being supported.

The Ramble Tag is designed specifically for visually impaired people to improve their experience of guided walking and sports. It is worn on the upper arm of a guide.

Rangers said the introduction of the devices has been a “very positive experience” for stewards and tour guides who find them useful and easy to use.

Rangers recently welcomed a group of visually impaired fans to Ibrox for a ‘Touch Tour’ of the stadium. Supporters were able to get up-close with trophies and also meet club legends Derek Johnstone and Mark Hateley.
