Staples Center, L.A. Live fuel fan experience with new partnership

On-demand mobile fuel provider Fuelster has agreed a strategic partnership that will bring the first-ever mobile fuelling service to sports and entertainment fans at Staples Center and the Los Angeles arena’s surrounding sports and entertainment district, L.A. Live.

As part of the agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, Fuelster becomes an official partner of L.A. Live and the exclusive on-demand fuel delivery service of NHL ice hockey team the LA Kings, which plays at Staples Center.

The partnership will provide fans attending professional sports and live entertainment events with the ability to safely and conveniently have their gas tanks filled when they park at L.A. Live. This is the first partnership of its kind for AEG, owner and operator of Staples Center and L.A. Live, and Fuelster’s first sports partnership providing service at a professional arena or sports complex.

The Los Angeles-headquartered company’s service combines mobile app and software technologies with a delivery process. Customers can download the Fuelster app, enter their information, and place an order for service.

For fans attending a game, concert or event, they can have fuel delivered directly to their parked vehicles. Delivery is free, there are no membership fees, and the prices are set to be competitive to the gas stations in the area.

“At AEG we’re always striving for new and innovative ways to deliver a superior fan experience at our world-class venues and live events and Fuelster’s one-of-a-kind technology will help us do just that,” said Nick Baker, chief operating officer of AEG Global Partnerships.

As an official partner of the Kings, Fuelster will engage hockey fans with pre-game Fan Fest experiences, original content, social media and digital campaigns.

“Fuelster sets a new benchmark for hospitality and convenience, two things we prioritise when it comes to successfully operating our state-of-the-art venues,” said Lee Zeidman, president of Staples Center, Microsoft Theater and L.A. Live.  “Integrating this technology-driven amenity will not only add value to our venues, but also enhance the guest experience for our fans, the true benefactors of this new partnership.”
