Tailgate Guys strike with Texas Rangers

Tailgate Guys has entered the Major League Baseball (MLB) sector for the first time after signing a partnership with the Texas Rangers.

The Alabama-based hospitality firm has become a player in the college football arena, offering fans hospitality options and turnkey tailgate packages to include tents, tables, chairs, TVs, and catering services. It has partnered with more than a dozen teams since it was founded in 2009.

It will now bring its services to baseball, promising Rangers fans “an innovative and exciting way to enjoy America’s pastime”.

“This is a big move for Tailgate Guys just as it is for the Rangers” said Parker Duffey, chief executive and president of Tailgate Guys. “The leadership team with the Rangers has a vision that is unique within Major League Baseball and that vision happens to dovetail directly into our long-term strategies. It’s a perfect fit.”

After announcing a multi-year partnership with the Allstate Sugar Bowl as the bowl’s official hospitality partner earlier this year, Tailgate Guys is making moves to expand into additional areas of hospitality within the athletics and entertainment space.

Rangers attracted an average attendance of more than 30,000 to their Globe Life Park in Arlington in the most recent MLB season.

“We are excited to announce this partnership that will truly deliver a new, world-class experience to all Texas Rangers fans” said Mark Neifeld, vice-president of events with the Texas Rangers.

“The elite level of hospitality, comfort and service that Tailgate Guys provides will be a wonderful new addition to our Texas Rangers home games in 2018.”
