Wolves to enhance matchday experience at Molineux

English Championship second-tier football club Wolves have unveiled plans to carry out various improvement works at their Molineux home stadium in an effort to boost matchday experience.

The club has approved plans for two new 30sq m screens, as well as an improved public address system.

In addition, the club will introduce a new ‘Carling Fans Zone’ in the Stan Cullis Stand, where fans can enjoy pre-match drinks and entertainment such as live music and comedy.

Work will take place after the current season, with the club hopeful that all new facilities will be in place in time for the 2017-18 campaign.

Laurie Dalrymple, managing director of Wolves, said: “Like many of our fans, I travel on the road to every away game, not only to support the team but I’m also taking a look around and seeing how other clubs are doing it.

“If we’re being honest I think that we’ve fallen a bit behind the curve in terms of matchday entertainment and our matchday experience. We want to encourage fans to get here earlier and experience a really positive vibrant, lively matchday experience.”

Confirmation of the new plans came as the club also announced that it has sold more than 11,000 season tickets for the 2017-18 campaign. Should this total reach 16,500 by May 31, supporters that have purchased a season ticket will be entitled to a partial refund.
