Swimming pool to form part of new Arena Corinthians space

Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Corinthians has announced details of a new space at Arena Corinthians that will include a swimming pool overlooking the pitch.

The ‘Camarote FielZone Jack Daniel’s’ space will be inaugurated on Sunday during Corinthians’ home match against São Paulo.

The area will have a capacity for 300 fans on match days and seat up to 1,000 people for other events.

The themed space will feature four chandeliers made from Jack Daniel’s bottles, a barber shop, video games, pool tables, a foosball table, a music stage, an open bar (without alcohol), and guest appearances from former players.

The area will also include an outdoor deck with a swimming pool. The Maquina do Esporte website noted that Arena Corinthians becomes just the second stadium in the world to feature a pool overlooking the pitch, joining TIAA Bank Field, home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

The space will be opened two hours before kick-off and remain available to use for an hour and a half after the game has finished. Tickets for the space will start from R$300 (£62/€70/$79).
