Oak View Group launches OVG International

US-based sports and entertainment company Oak View Group is launching its first international office in London.

OVG International is designed to establish the group’s arena and stadium presence in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Billboard reports that Jessica Koravos will serve as co-chair of OVG International alongside OVG chief executive Tim Leiweke.

Sam Piccione III has also been named as president, with Mark Donnelly to serve as chief operating officer. Billboard added that Brian Kabatznick will serve as executive vice-president of business development and facilities, Marc-Elie Robert as senior vice-president of commercial, Martha Rolle as legal counsel and Gary Hutchinson as stadium consultant.

The announcement was made yesterday (Wednesday) at the International Live Music Conference in London.

“Our aim is to create a new generation of state-of-the-art entertainment facilities,” Leiweke said.

He added: “The live events market has grown significantly in the United States since Oak View Group launched three years ago, and we see a huge opportunity to drive similar growth internationally by creating world-class experiences in world-class arenas.”

Oak View Group is currently leading major arena development projects in Belmont and Seattle, while last year it partnered with the University of Texas at Austin to develop a world-class on-campus arena. The group also runs the Arena and Stadium Alliance, an invitation-only group for venues to maximise sponsorship opportunities, additional events and content.
