Turkish Süper Lig football club Galatasaray has announced the Rams Global conglomerate as the new naming-rights sponsor of its home stadium.
The length of the deal was not disclosed, with Galatasaray set to announce more details surrounding the partnership in the coming days. According to the Haber Turk website, the deal will be worth €7.5m (£6.5m/$8.2m) plus VAT.
Rams Global was formed in Turkey and operates in a range of sectors such as real estate, health, tourism, media and mining, as well as Turkish sports.
Rams Global will replace construction group Nef as the naming-rights sponsor of Ali Sami Yen Stadium. Nef had sponsored the stadium since the start of the 2021-22 season.
The stadium, which has a capacity of around 52,000, will now be known as Rams Global Stadium.
Earlier this year, Galatasaray said that it is working on increasing the capacity of the stadium by introducing safe standing areas.
Board member Bora Bahçetepe said the stadium’s capacity could increase by eight to 10 thousand people if spectators are able to stand behind the goal.
The stadium first opened in January 2011.
