SoFi Stadium and Uber’s online food ordering and delivery platform, Uber Eats, have struck a deal to bring order-ahead concessions to fans at the venue.

SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Chargers NFL American football franchise, will be the largest implementation of an Uber Eats programme at a sports venue so far.

Uber Eats’ previous expansion into sports has included Major League Baseball, NBA basketball and Major League Soccer venues.

Beginning this Sunday with the Chargers’ season-opening clash with the Miami Dolphins, concession stands throughout the stadium will feature a dedicated lane for spectators who pre-order food and drinks using the Uber Eats app.

Equipped with green Uber Eats signage and brand ambassadors ready to assist, Uber Eats pick-up locations within the stadium will be in sections 200, 300, and 400/500. The service will also be available at other SoFi Stadium events, including concerts and other live entertainment events.

“The experience will help fans avoid lines and enable them to watch more of the action on the field, enhancing the overall guest experience,” SoFi Stadium said in a statement.
