French insurance company Groupama has renewed its sponsorship of Groupama Arena, home of Hungarian football team Ferencvárosi Torna Club.
The new deal, which was brokered by the Sportfive agency, will run until 2029. Groupama has held naming rights to the 22,000-capacity stadium since it opened in 2014.
As well as stadium naming rights, the partnership between Budapest-based Ferencváros, Groupama and Sportfive includes a commitment to enhancing fan engagement. Ferencváros has won the Hungarian title in each of the past five seasons.
Alexandre Jeanjean, chief executive of Groupama, said: “We are proud to sponsor the arena that has been the home of the most successful Hungarian football team since 2014.The club’s values are in harmony with Groupama’s over 100-year-old traditions, in which the role of the community, the respect for traditions, and at the same time, the ability to innovate, are of paramount importance.
“Thanks to the support, Groupama has become one of the most recognised brand names in the country, closely associated with the sports successes experienced at Groupama Arena.”
Groupama also holds naming rights to Groupama Stadium, home of French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais. Groupama has sponsored Lyon’s stadium since 2017 and its current deal will run until July 31, 2025.
