Axess, an international provider of ticketing and access solutions, has partnered with Amazon One and Ticketmaster to unveil an innovative approach to accessing Climate Pledge Arena, home of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken.

The arena now supports the integration of Amazon One’s palm scan into Axess’ Smart Scanner 600. Amazon One is a biometric identity service that enables contactless entry by holding your palm over a scanner.

The implementation of Amazon One in conjunction with the Axess Smart Scanner 600’s NFC technology is designed to streamline the guest entry process at Climate Pledge Arena and eliminate the need for physical tickets.

The Los Angeles Kings NHL franchise has teamed up with long-time partner Mercury Insurance to create a first-of-its-kind augmented reality experience that will take fans on an adventure through some of LA’s most recognised landmarks in search of the team’s mascot, Bailey.

The ‘Where’s Bailey’ exhibition has been designed by artist and muralist Nigel Sussman and features animations of LA locations and exhibitions, including the Hockeywood Walk of Fame, a movie premiere with paparazzi, and the giant donut at Bailey’s Donuts.

Fans attending Kings games at Crypto.com Arena will be able to experience ‘Where’s Bailey’ by scanning a QR code at the giant art installation next to the Team LA store on the main concourse. This will launch a web app on their smartphones, and supporters will then be able to point their camera at the mural and the illustration will come to life.

Fans will then move their camera around the mural to find Bailey, who is hidden among the densely populated mural’s elements in the style of ‘Where’s Wally’. Fans who find Bailey will be entered to win an exclusive Kings prize package that includes a jersey and two game tickets.
