Cosm, an experiential media and immersive technology company, has announced that its first fan-facing venue will officially open to the public on June 29 at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Park.

The 65,000-square-foot experiential venue will feature a live shared reality production of the UFC 303 event taking place at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, offering fans an all-access, Octagon-side experience.

Cosm’s first fan-facing venue will be located adjacent to SoFi Stadium and the under-construction Intuit Dome arena. Prior to the public opening, Cosm will host a series of private events and early access premieres at the venue featuring live productions of the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals.

Cosm has official partnerships with ESPN, the NBA, NBC Sports, TNT Sports and UFC. Plans for the Hollywood Park venue were first announced in August 2022.

Technology company Intel has detailed its plans for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, for which it will serve as the official worldwide AI platform partner.

Intel will introduce AI experiences based on its hardware and software that enable next-generation entertainment engagement for fans, organisers, athletes and viewers. Implementations will include an immersive sports experience for fans to experience technology used to measure athletic potential.

Paris 2024 will also be the first Olympics to showcase an end-to-end 8K livestreaming experience, while accessibility will be advanced at selected Games facilities. Intel will also create an interactive, AI-powered fan activation to take spectators on a journey of becoming an Olympic athlete.

AMB Sports and Entertainment has rolled out Wi-Fi 6E technology at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer team Atlanta United.

The HPE Aruba Networking solution will be delivered by Hewlett Packard Enterprise. AMBSE said the deployment will enable guests to breeze through no-hassle entry lanes and livestream events in high definition.

AMBSE also plans on enhancing the offerings within the Mercedes-Benz Stadium app, including the introduction of precision wayfinding.

Xtract One Technologies, a threat detection and security solutions company, has announced that its SmartGateway system has been selected to protect all entrances at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The multi-purpose arena has a capacity of 10,000 seats and is operated by Oak View Group. Xtract One has signed a three-year partnership with the venue to minimise wait times through its AI-powered sensors, which detect threats discretely and accurately.
