Aramark to debut ‘beer bikes’ at NFL venues

Food services provider Aramark has released details of a new ‘beer bike’ service that will be introduced at NFL stadia during the upcoming season.

The ‘Tour de Taps’ are three-wheeled, mobile and interactive beer bikes and will provide fans with an additional location for fans to buy beer.

The carts will serve two varieties of draft beer and will be designed with the local team’s colours. They will be stationed in general concessions areas in each NFL stadium Aramark services.

“We believe this is the first time BeerCycles have been deployed inside a sports venue,” David Freireich, Aramark’s senior director of corporate communications, told SportsBusiness Daily.

“The introduction of BeerCycles is keeping in line with our effort to create more portable stations that can go where the fans are.”

The initiative will be rolled out for the Philadelphia Eagles (Lincoln Financial Field), Houston Texans (NRG Stadium), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Raymond James Stadium), Pittsburgh Steelers (Heinz Field), Minnesota Vikings (US Bank Stadium), Chicago Bears (Soldier Field), Kansas City Chiefs (Arrowhead Stadium), Cleveland Browns (FirstEnergy Stadium), Cincinnati Bengals (Paul Brown Stadium) and Baltimore Ravens (M&T Bank Stadium).

The announcement of the new scheme was made as Aramark unveiled its new menu items for the upcoming NFL season. Highlights include Taco Trios, a range of sandwiches, hot dogs, and vegan and vegetarian options.

Aramark will also offer a compostable peanut bag at Arrowhead Stadium and US Bank Stadium this year as part of its commitment to waste prevention.
