Monster installs ‘unique’ new sound system at VfL Wolsburg

Audio technology specialist Monster has installed a new sound system at partner VfL Wolfsburg’s Volkswagen Arena ahead of the new Bundesliga season.

The California-based company is a market leader for headphones and loudspeakers, particularly focussing on their use in sports, and is now the official acoustic partner of VfL Wolfsburg.

The new sound system at the 30,000-capacity Volkswagen Arena consists of 147 loudspeakers and the innovative Monster Cube system.

“We are very pleased with the partnership with Monster, which enables VfL Wolfsburg to offer the first team a unique acoustic experience in its stadium,” said Dr. Tim Schumacher, VfL’s chief executive.

“One of our main objectives is the continuous and innovative further development of our infrastructure – together with strong partners such as Monsters.”

Monster, founded in the 1970s, was involved in the development of Beats By Dr Dre headphones with Apple and rap star Dr Dre.

Chief executive Noel Lee said: “We chose VfL Wolfsburg as a partner, because we strive for the best. We provide clear and defined acoustics and enable the stadium visitors to experience the unique experience with PureMonster Sound technology.”
